Is Your T-Shirt Made From Toxic Polyester?

Is your T-Shirt going to give you cancer?  Believe it or not your T-Shirt could be made out of toxic materials. In fact, the cheaper the T-shirt is the more likely it is to cause problems with your health.  If it is made out of polyester it might be quite toxic.  If it is from an Asian country you might also definitely be in risk of getting poisoned slowly by the garment.  That s because your T-shirt is actually made out of a very toxic oil product.

 

Polyester is made of carcinogens. If you wear a cheap one you risk poisoning as it leaches into your skin.  To protect yourself try buying shirts that are a little more high end and stay away from bins of T-shirts that look like they are heavily or cheaply dyed.

 

How on earth did we end up selling these toxic polyester t-shrits in the first place?

 

First off making them out of polyester is cheap in every way. However the manufacturing of polyester is expensive for our environment. The material is made from refined petroleum that is flash heated at 800 degrees Celcius.  A heavy metal such as antimony is added so that the resulting ethylene turns into a goo that in the end is cooled and becomes fabric. This is what we are wearing against our skin when we wear polyester. It is a creation of heavy metals and petroleum.

 

The scary thing about this is that if you sweat you might be leaching out these chemicals into your skin. You might want to think twice before you consider working out in a T-shirt because a Danish study found that as much as ten percent of the chemicals found in a polyester t-shirt might possibly end up on your skin.

Printed T-shirts are equally toxic. Discharged print ink can also degrade and be absorbed by the skin over time. That is why it is not a good idea to sleep in a polyester or printed ink T-shirt if you can help it.

 

So how do you protect yourself from this sort of subtle and creeping toxic overload.  Try buying all natural all of the time.  Natural organic cotton T-shirts are much better choices both for day and night wear.  Avoid clothing with poisonous dyes and if you see a T-shirt bleeding dyes and colors or if it actually discolors your skin – don’t wear it and throw it out!

More Ways to Get A Man to Respect You

Getting a man to respect you is partly about getting him to respect the fact that you are a class act.   Remember that old saying that we teach others how to treat us?  You need to avoid dressing certain ways or certain behaviors or you will be disrespected.

 

Part of this is demanding to be treated like a lady.  Allow a man to be polite to you and do you little favors such as pull out your chair and order from the menu for you.

 

Don’t shove your way through a door before a man can open it for you.  Never call him sexist, even if you privately think this kind of thing is sexist. Men show respect by being allowed to do things for women.

 

Do mind your own business and don’t volunteer any unnecessary opinions or information when the men are talking.  It is also important not to gossip in front of the man.  Don’t gossip about him to your girlfriends. Gossiping is one sure way to rapidly declassify yourself both in his eyes and in the eyes of your friend.

 

Do be cool. Get the knack of knowing how to say the right thing to say at the right time.  You should also avoid being a drama queen.

 

In a dating scene it is also a good idea to wait until the man calls you. Men tend to disrespect women who call them.  Don’t text him too much either. He will just dismiss him. Direct all of the attention in the room to the man you are with.

Don’t talk for hours about yourself and especially your emotions.

 

Be sure to live in the present and be a good sport. Don’t talk about your exes or constantly compare the past to the present. This makes you look insecure and foolish. Men just don’t have much patience to this.

Women who are respected have a life beyond romance. Do become involved in your community and practice acts of philanthropy and charity. Show that you have a good heart and have more love to give than just the sexual love you want to give to him. This creates true respect for you.

Don’t be selfish and throw tantrums when you don’t get want you want. Drama queens don’t tend to move ahead in life.

 

Another turn off for men is women who put on their make up and brush their hair in public. Retire to the washroom if you want to do this kind of thing.
